Rishad Hossain is set to receive an award for his outstanding performance in the T20 World Cup. The young Bangladeshi leg-spinner, who recently secured a spot in the Big Bash League, has now been signed by the Jim Afro T-Ten team.

Harare Bolts have directly contracted Rishad, as confirmed by the franchise league officials who released the list of players ahead of the auction scheduled for next Sunday.

In the six-team tournament in Harare, the promising all-rounder will join cricketers like Dasun Shanaka, Jimmy Neesham, and Kenner Lewis. The competition is set to run from September 21 to 29. Despite playing in the Test series against India, Rishad is not expected to be part of the long-format squad during the tournament. However, barring injury, he will be available for the three-match T20 series starting on October 6.

If the Bangladesh Cricket Board grants permission, Rishad will make his debut in a foreign league, following in the footsteps of Mushfiqur Rahim, who played for Joburg Buffaloes, and Taskin Ahmed, who represented Bulawayo Braves in the inaugural tournament.

Rishad’s first opportunity to play abroad came earlier when he was set to join the Toronto Nationals in Canada’s Global Twenty20 League, but civil unrest disrupted those plans. The 22-year-old all-rounder, who took 14 wickets in the World Cup, will now play for Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League.”
